1966 Shelby Cobra Super Snake
This 1966 Shelby Cobra Super Snake 427-cu.in. 800HP twin supercharged V8 was originally configured as a competition car, and then retrofitted by Shelby American as a street vehicle. It was one of two dual blown Cobras built; the other was built for entertainer Bill Cosby. It was used by Shelby, and probably because of that fact, the bidding reached the record high of $5 million plus commission of 10%, final price $5.5 million at Barrett-Jackson, Scottsdale, Arizona 1/18/07.
